Local Media Disclaimer

Catalysis provides a local media playback feature that allows users to play audio and video files from their personal devices alongside journey activities. Catalysis does not host, store, upload, transmit, distribute, or have any access to these files. The files remain entirely on the user's device at all times. Catalysis functions solely as a media player for user-owned content and bears no responsibility for the nature, legality, or copyright status of files played through this feature. Users are required to acknowledge full copyright responsibility before using the local media feature. All local media playback is clearly marked as "Using personal media" to distinguish it from content provided by journey creators or Catalysis.

Journey Content Licensing

Journey creators on Catalysis may assign one of three content licenses to their work. "All Rights Reserved" means the journey must be experienced as designed with no local media substitution permitted. "Open Use with Attribution" permits participants to customise their experience, including using local media, provided the original creator is credited. "Public Domain" means the creator waives all exclusive rights and the journey may be freely used, modified, or redistributed. The license chosen by a journey creator is displayed on the journey page and governs how participants may interact with that content.

User Responsibility & Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Catalysis Christian Community, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the local media feature, your violation of any third-party intellectual property rights, or your breach of these terms. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any media files you play through the platform are legally obtained and that you have the right to use them.

Limitation of Liability

Catalysis Christian Community shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the platform. This includes, without limitation, any claims related to content played through the local media feature, loss of data, or interruption of service.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
